1. Models

Upload the component file.

You have these options:

1.1 Lightweighting

The component can be hollowed out and provided with a lattice structure.

You have these options:

  • Wall thickness
  • Grid type
  • Dimensions of the lattice elements

2. Support

Almost every component needs supports here and there.

You are a newcomer? You have these options in the automatic calculation:

  • Input of the critical angle
  • Settings for the Type, Geometry, Connection, etc.

You already know your way round? You have these options for manual calculation:

  • Add: Adds supports with the selected properties
  • Edit: Supports can be selected and the properties can be edited
  • Remove: Removes supports

3. Process

Define the final settings for your component.

You have these options:

  • Material selection: all materials offered by us are available
  • Parameter presets: standard parameter setups are available for each material and you can create your own parameter setup.

4. Simulate

Get possible scenarios for your component.

You have these options:

  • Deformation simulation: calculates the thermal deformation of the component
  • Stresses: calculates the stresses occurring in the component
  • Automatic distortion compensation: calculates the thermal deformation and creates a preformed component whose geometry matches the CAD model after thermal distortion
  • Shrinkline/Whiteline detection: warns of possible shrinking lines in the component
  • Re-coater impact detection: warns of large-area coating impact on the component
  • Temperatures: calculates the occurring temperatures and warns of overheating
