AlSi10Mg is a lightweight aluminum alloy and one of the most established materials for LPBF. The silicon content improves the flow of the melt pool, giving the alloy excellent processability and a low tendency to crack during printing. Through heat treatment, its ductility can be further improved. AlSi10Mg is used across a wide range of industries such as aerospace, automotive and general lightweight engineering.
